Speech Language Pathologist

Dr. Gitty Leiner, is a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist and the Founder and Executive Director of The Gitty Foundation for Metastatic Breast Cancer Research (MBCR). Raised in Brooklyn, New York, she attended the religious Bais Yaakov High School, where she was the only student out of 65 to attend university. Despite having no formal training for the SAT entrance exam, she took the test on a whim and earned a place at Brooklyn College, where she graduated with a 4.0 average.

Dr. Leiner then pursued her passion for Speech Language Pathology and obtained a Master of Science degree from the prestigious Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. Upon returning to New York, she established her own private pediatric speech pathology practice called Tele SpeechTime, which has been serving children for over 25 years.

In 2021, Dr. Leiner was accepted into the doctorate program in speech language pathology at the academically acclaimed Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professionals in Boston, MA.

Dr. Leiner's dedication to helping others goes beyond her profession. After being diagnosed with stage I breast cancer in 2018, and seven months later with stage IV breast cancer, she was inspired to make a difference in the lives of those battling this disease. She founded The Gitty Foundation MBCR with the mission of raising funds for the latest treatments to give hope to those with incurable breast cancer.
